Ned Nwoko Awards Scholarship to 29 Unibadan Students

  • Founder of Stars University, Idumuje-Ugboko and former member of House of Representatives, Dr. Ned Munir Nwoko has awarded scholarship to 28 outstanding students of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria’s premier university just as Ohanaeze Ndigbo Oyo State Chapter has decorated him as its patron.
President-General of University of Ibadan Alumni Association, Professor Elsie Adewoye announced the scholarship awards during the 2019 National Public Service Lecture of the university which was delivered by Dr. Nwoko at the weekend in Ibadan.
She said the scholarship award was a gesture to promote academic excellence by the Delta State-born international lawyer and entrepreneur who was also honoured as an honorary alumnus of the University of Ibadan at the occasion

HIV SURGE IN DELTA: GOVT COMMITS N100M TO FIGHT SPREAD, TREATMENT. *No Advertising Charges On HIV/AIDS Campaigns In State Government-Owned Media Houses, *Laws Against Stigmatization And Victimization Of HIV Patients To Be Promulgated Soon. Delta Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, said the state government would commit N100 million to fight the spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the state. The governor made this known at the launch of HIV SURGE in Asaba on Thursday. He urged that all hands must be on deck to check the HIV scourge, and warned that nobody should collect fees of any kind on HIV cases. He also directed the state government-owned media houses not to collect any fee for HIV-related campaigns. The 2017 Ugboko terrorism was  an act of hate and wickedness,   what is required now is real leadership and it could only be achieved by addressing justice.
