HONOURS PRINCESS REGINA NWOKO.

The Anioma born famous Nollywood actress and wife of the senator elect of Delta north, Princess Regina Nwoko, was yesterday, 26th May 2019, inducted into the prestigious Otu Odu, Anioma (Ivory Society of Asaba), as Enyi Ugegbe Anioma, (mirror of Anioma).
The investiture ceremony which was conducted at Idumuje Ugboko palatial mansion of the Star Prince of Anioma, Prince (Dr) Ned Nwoko also witnessed the induction of the mother of Princess Regina Nwoko into the elite women's only club as Enyi Ugo Anioma. (Eagle of Anioma).
Speaking during the investiture ceremony, the President of the exalted society, Hon. Chief, Mrs Theodora Ada Giwa-Amu, extols the virtues of the club which she said was devoid of fetishism but formed to advance the rich cultural heritage of Anioma people and to give Anioma elite women opportunity to pull resources together to help the economic disadvantage people in society.
Chief Mrs Giwa-Amu further stated that Princess Regina Nwoko and her mother were considered worthy to be inducted into the virtuous ladies of grace society because of Regina's outstanding achievement as an actress, philanthropy and as the wife of the patron of the club, Prince (Dr) Ned Nwoko.
She described the senator elect as a cultural maestro and a man with burning desire to advance the interest of Anioma land in all fronts.
The occasion was an awesome display of the rich culture of Anioma people.
The song renditions, the elegant and intricate dance steps by the gorgeous ladies of grace during the induction procession, expressed the embellished beauty in a virtuous Anioma woman.
The ceremony was witnessed by eminent traditional rulers from Delta north, crèmes of Nollywood actors and actresses, different dance groups, supporters and children of the senator elect.
It could be recalled that another of the wife of the cultural generalismo of Anioma nation and senator elect, was also inducted into the Society, on 17th February 2019 as IGILIGI UTUTU, (morning dew).
The Otu Odu Anioma comprises women of substance in Anioma land who have made remarkable impact in their chosen career, some of the members are Hon. Chief Mrs Mercy Almona-Isei, former commissioner and Rep member, representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Barr. Mrs Chinwe Monu-Olarewaju, former LGA Chairman, Commissioner and House of Assembly member representing Oshimili South LGA and of course the president of the Society, Hon. Chief, Mrs Theodora Ada Giwa-Amu, former chairman Oshimili South LGA.
