Ned Nwoko Felicitates With Okowa As He Mounts The Saddle A Second Time

The popular Anioma philanthropist and Senator-elect for Delta North Senatorial District, Hon. Dr. Prince Ned Nwoko has congratulated Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as he takes over leadership of Delta State as Governor for a second term in office

Prince Nwoko said that judging from Okowa's excellent performance in his first term, no doubt he would surmount the records in his second term.

He therefore, urged all Deltans to give the Governor maximum support and cooperation to consolidate on the achievements of his first tenure.

According to him in a statement signed by his Media Director, Comrade Norbert Chiazor, "On our parts as those who will be working with him to move our Senatorial District and the State forward, we will create the atmosphere of synergy and partnership to maximize the gains of governance and democracy to our people.

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro have done excellently well and there is no doubt that they mean well for Deltans. What they need from us is our collective support to perform more excellently in their second term", the statement read in parts.

HIV SURGE IN DELTA: GOVT COMMITS N100M TO FIGHT SPREAD, TREATMENT. *No Advertising Charges On HIV/AIDS Campaigns In State Government-Owned Media Houses, *Laws Against Stigmatization And Victimization Of HIV Patients To Be Promulgated Soon. Delta Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, said the state government would commit N100 million to fight the spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the state. The governor made this known at the launch of HIV SURGE in Asaba on Thursday. He urged that all hands must be on deck to check the HIV scourge, and warned that nobody should collect fees of any kind on HIV cases. He also directed the state government-owned media houses not to collect any fee for HIV-related campaigns.
