*EMETULU, OSAKWE INTERVENES IN KWALE/ABBI RELEASE OF CONFISCATED MOTORCYCLES*

Deltans in all parts of the State continue to observe the State Governor's invoked quarantine law (stay-at-home order), as a proactive measure put in place by the State Government aimed to deter the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic in the State, the effect of the development have been cumbersome.

Residents in the State, especially those that depends on daily labour to feed themselves and families have complied to the directive but with mixed feelings. The contributions of some government functionaries and philanthropists in the State to cushion the side effect of the "lockdown" have recorded little success!

Meanwhile, motorcycles and other vehicles belonging to some residents in Utagba Ogbe (Kwale) and Abbi trying to access essential services, which were confisticated by the Police while carrying out their constitutional duties have all been released to their rightful owners.

The motorcycles were released today, after the intervention of the member representing Ndokwa West Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu and the Ndokwa West LGA Executive Chairman, Hon. Chris Osakwe.

Having received complaints from some of the residents and confirmation from the Police and Anticult Volunteer Corp (AVC), the duo met with the Kwale Division Police DPO, Mr. Bissong to secure the "unconditional" release of the automobiles back to their owners.

Hon. Charles Emetulu admonished them to avoid flaunting the executive orders of the State Governor to avoid sanctions. He urged them to continue to cooperate with the State Government in their efforts to protect the lives of Deltans. Emetulu urged them to always observe social distancing, washing their hands frequently, make use of hand sanitizers, stay at home to be safe, while assuring them of his support and solidarity.

The Council Chairman, Hon. Chris Osakwe called on the residents to exercise patient and cooperate with the State Government in the fight against the deadly Corona Virus aka COVID 19, assuring them that the Governor is aware of their sacrifices.

The duo appreciates the Police and all other security agencies enforcing the constituted laws of the land.
