Use your God Given Position To Render Selfless Service To Humanity - Okowa

...As Hon Ben Igbakpa Appreciates God for Election Victories, Accomplishments.

By Fred Latimore Oghejesivbe Esq.

Governor  Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of Delta State, has admonished public servants and political appointees to abhor self glorification and focus  on the need to continually use their God given positions to improve the wellbeing of their constituents and less privileged folks.

He said it pays to put God first in all that we do and say, pointing out that every position that one occupies is an opportunity to effectively impact society and make our world a better place.

The governor gave the advise at the Thanksgiving Service organised by Hon Ben Igbakpa, at the First Baptist Church, Ovade-Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturday 4th January, 2020; to appreciate the Awesomeness of God in his political career and accomplishments in life, and still counting.

According to Gov Okowa, politics and power are integral part of human advancement which is why elected representatives and political appointees must of a necessity see themselves as servants of the people as well as God's vessels for the systematic and progressive transformation of societies; adding that service to the people must be selfless, not minding colour, race and gender.

He congratulated Hon Igbakpa for his victory both at the polls and the Court of Appeal in 2019, and urged him to represent the good people of Ethiope Federal Constituency at the green chambers without blemish.

Igbakpa and members of his family, political associates and party faithfuls sang and danced to the admiration of guests in appreciation of God divine intervention for protecting his landslide victory at the polls through a resounding verdict at the Court of Appeal.

The event was well attended by party leaders, lawmakers and party faithfuls which includes; former governor of Delta State and Urhobo Nation National Political Leader, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Chairman, Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Chief Ighoyota Amori, State Party Chairman of PDP, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Hon Hilary Obioma Ibegbulem, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Hon Charles Aniagwu, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hon Olisa Ifeajika, to mention but a few.

Stronger Delta, Let's Build Together.
