NDOKWA WEST ON FIRE AS LEGISLATURES DEMANDS INCOME/EXPENDITURES

The Ndokwa West LGA Legislative arm has demanded for Income and Expenditures for the year 2019.

The legislators while sitting yesterday 16th Jan 2010, moved a motion demanding the Executive arm of the LGA to furnish them with the total income and Expenditures of the Council from January to December 2019.

The motion became necessary for the Councilors as they have not been awarded any project for their Constituency since they came into office in this second tenure of the Council boss.

Looking back, the Councilors who were in office during the first tenure of the Council boss has nothing also to show as projects.

The Legislators also summoned the Supervisory Councilor to appear before them on 21st Jan 2020 for 2019 Budget matters

Some of the Legislators however regret the moves to buy off Councilors each time demand for income and Expenditures is made.

HIV SURGE IN DELTA: GOVT COMMITS N100M TO FIGHT SPREAD, TREATMENT. *No Advertising Charges On HIV/AIDS Campaigns In State Government-Owned Media Houses, *Laws Against Stigmatization And Victimization Of HIV Patients To Be Promulgated Soon. Delta Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, said the state government would commit N100 million to fight the spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the state. The governor made this known at the launch of HIV SURGE in Asaba on Thursday. He urged that all hands must be on deck to check the HIV scourge, and warned that nobody should collect fees of any kind on HIV cases. He also directed the state government-owned media houses not to collect any fee for HIV-related campaigns. Okowa announced that laws against stigmatization and victimization of HIV patients would be promulgated in the state soon.
