SAMUEL IYASE; STARS UNIVERSITY WILL NOT COLLAPSE, NED NWOKO IS NOT OKONKWO!
Yesterday while scrolling through my facebook newsfeed, i saw a screenshot of a very distasteful comment were one Samuel Iyase stated that even if my political father, Prince Ned Nwoko succeeds in building the very first sports university in Africa, it will collapse in no time.
Ordinarily if this comment was made by a Facebook user with little or no idea of what education does to society and what this sports university will do for Nigeria as a country, i would have turned my face and just continued picking my beans, but for a professor of mathematics to make such callous and unguarded comment left me questioning the kind of knowledge he will have imparted on his students.
The comment which shows how hateful and dark the heart of Samuel Iyase is, can best be described as that of man learning the ropes of wizardry, and this has further given credence to all we have been saying, the fact remains that majority of those attacking the pristine image of Prince Ned Nwoko, envy and jealousy is their only motivation!
As a Professor of mathematics and as a kinsman of the world renowned STAR PRINCE, one will expect Samuel to act like the original bearer of the name -Prophet Samuel-, and just like the prophet played vital roles in seeing David crowned King, same way he too was expected to play his role in trying to see this game changing university come to fruition, but no, he is so blinded by his hatred for a good man to the point that he doesn't even care if at the expense of the amazing legacy this institution will create, all things should fall apart, but what Samuel Iyase fail to realise is, PRINCE NED NWOKO is not OKONKWO!
We all can recall that just last week, i released the second part of the NED NWOKO community developer series, and in that part, we showed everyone the level of work that has been done and the over ten thousand people that has seen the documentary can attest to the fact that only a drunken fool will wish for such an iconic institution to collapse!
Truly, i can't speculate the mood Samuel Iyase was when he made the uncouth comment, neither can i claim to know his relationship with bottles containing alcohol contents but for a Professor of mathematics to make such a statement means there is need to evaluate his state of mind, for no sane man will ever wish for the collapse of what will not only bring further development to his community, create massive employment opportunities, but above every other amazing legacies, create stars that would set the world alight and bring more Olympic gold to Nigeria!
Finally, what Samuel and his gang of hate filled colleagues are yet to realise is that, Ned Nwoko may be founder and funder of the university but STARS belongs to us all and we will do everything to see it become one of the most successful brand the world has ever seen, simply put we will not rest until it's ranked along side other ivy league universities, think about Havard and Yale, think about STARS!
Again i say this, if Prince Ned Nwoko was a northerner, his name will be on the lips of everyone when discussions as to who becomes the next president of Nigeria go on.
And yes, like the meaning of the name Samuel, God has indeed heard our prayers and no amount of gang up, hatred and blackmail can stop this great institution from achieving it's full goals!
No matter what the likes of Samuel Iyase do and say, STARS UNIVERSITY WILL NOT COLLAPSE, a decade on i will still be here telling eberybody the amazing stories of how far this great institution have come and we will be counting the additional sporting medals Nigeria has won!
