FUNS OGWASHI UKU PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO DTHA DEPUTY SPEAKER RT HON CHRIS OCHOR

FUNS Ogwashi Uku Chapter led By the Ochiosa Comr. Prosper Eleh pays a condolence visit to the Deputy Speaker Delta state house of Assembly to console him over the demise of his father who will be buried on Saturday the 6th of July, 2019 and to present to him a portrait  designed by the Association And customized T-shirts to be used for the burial of Late Pa (Chief) Francis Anamali Ochor.


The Deputy Speaker expressed maximum satisfaction towards the visit of the FUNS and for the gift items presented as it was timely and came as of when needed.

"I am grateful to you all and even when I am supposed to leave, I have to attend to you people because you are special to me and I want to thank you all for finding time to visit and for your presentation and may the good Lord bless and reward you all" Rt. Hon. Ochor.

The group also used the medium to inform the Deputy Speaker of their Culture Day Celebration which will hold on 20th of July, 2019 as he promised to honour their invitation.

HIV SURGE IN DELTA: GOVT COMMITS N100M TO FIGHT SPREAD, TREATMENT. *No Advertising Charges On HIV/AIDS Campaigns In State Government-Owned Media Houses, *Laws Against Stigmatization And Victimization Of HIV Patients To Be Promulgated Soon. Delta Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, said the state government would commit N100 million to fight the spread of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the state. The governor made this known at the launch of HIV SURGE in Asaba on Thursday. He urged that all hands must be on deck to check the HIV scourge, and warned that nobody should collect fees of any kind on HIV cases. He also directed the state government-owned media houses not to collect any fee for HIV-related campaigns. Okowa announced that laws against stigmatization and victimization of HIV patients would be promulgated in the state soon. The 2017 Ugboko terrorism was  an act of hate and wickedness,   what is required now is real leadership and it could only be achieved by addressing justice.
